Portal de l'Àngel is one of Barcelona's busiest shopping streets, and the unit meets it with a narrow frontage and a very deep plan. The project has to resolve two things at once: make the product legible from the street, and stop the back of the shop from going dead.
The plan is organised as a linear route. Low counters line both sides and leave the centre clear, so that the full depth of the unit is visible from the entrance. The existing brick piers are left exposed and set the rhythm of the route; between them, display modules repeat at a single width and can be rearranged by season.
The back is treated as the end of the route rather than a corner: the sales counter and the product wall go there, lit more intensely than the rest so they pull customers in from the door. Every other finish is neutral — white joinery, pale timber underfoot — so that the colour of the packaging is the only chromatic element in the shop.
