The Orio Cultural Center (OKE) is inserted in the site taking into account the different premises of the environment. Following a rational strategy two volumes are constructed that articulate and define the public space. Two volumes that generate a space for access and social activity.
Two intersected bodies that guide us to the different accesses in relation to the square and the promenade. Access to a central double-height Hall that is offered as a meeting point for the different activities that the building provides us.
The project adapts to the different needs, from exhibitions, fairs, concerts of music, theater or even congresses and company meetings. The rooms have mobile panel systems that allow us different distributions, according to uses and accesses. All the seats in the auditorium can be picked up under the stage and free up the space for cooking.
The materiality of the project will be defined by its environment, using native materials such as stone and wood. The stone as a succession of horizontal lines, the white concrete as a large body and the wood as a light filter that offers warmth in the different spaces.
